Known
as the Premier Ibanag City, Tuguegarao City is the capital of the Province of
Cagayan and the of Region 02. Being the capital, it is the center of commerce
and education in the province and perhaps the region.

During your Visit
- Visit the St. Peter and Paul Metropolitan Cathedral and the St. Hyacinth Church
- Visit the Buntun Bridge. With a span of 1.124 km and crossing the majestic Cagayan River it is the country’s longest river bridge.
- Try our Pancit Batil-Patung. Looking for a place that serve this special pancit is not hard as there are hundreds of panciterias scattered around the metro.
- Take a Calesa ride. Aside from the thousand of tricycles that run through the busy streets of the city, the calesa is a popular mode of public transportation in the city.
How to Get There
By Land
There
are a number of bus companies such as Victory Liner, Baliwag Transit, Florida
Liner, Dagupan Bus and Deltra, that ply the Manila-Tuguegarao route. Buses from
Manila are commonly stationed at Cubao or at Sampaloc. I suggest taking the
night trip as travel time from Manila to Tuguegarao may take around 10-12
hours. Fare ranges between P 600- 750 depending on the type of bus you intend
to take.
For
independent motorist, take the North Luzon Expressway (NLEX) and exit at the
Sta. Rita exit or you can also take the
Subic, Clark, Tarlac Expressway (SCTEX) and exit at La Paz, Tarlac.
By Air
Daily
flights are available from Manila to Tuguegarao. Travel time is about 1 hour.
