Pamplona is the result of the fusion of two villages:
Abulacan (now barrio San Juan)
and Masi. It has a land area of 17,176 hectares blessed with rich natural
timber and lumber as main forest products, as well as fish, shells and oysters
as their best aquaculture products. Makers of the famous local wine “tata”
(nipa wine), Pamplona
can prove its capacity to become productive if resources are properly utilized.
Around 139 kilometers from Tuguegarao City, the timid town has been the gateway of the Marag Valley,
once known to be a haven of the New People’s Army.
